Save energy and earn tax credits up to $500

The federal energy tax credit means that homeowners are eligible for a tax credit when they purchase and install  select energy-efficient appliances and materials before the end of the calendar year. There are many qualifiers so review the details on the Energy Star's website: http://www.energystar.gov/

 

The following items are eligible for a tax credit up to the maximum listed:

 

Advanced main air circulating fan: $50

High-efficiency furnace: $150

High-efficiency heat pump: $300

High-efficiency central air conditioner: $300

High-efficiency water heater: $300

Select biomass stoves: $300
